This Paul Chen Shirasaya is for those wishing to build a custom Samurai Sword on a CAS Hanwei blade. Paul Chen offers these bare blades in Shirasaya. All are forged and differentially hardened in the same traditional fashion as the forged and forged & folded line of swords. The Paul Chen Shirasaya (SH1094) has the same geometry as the Shinto Classic blade but is un-grooved to facilitate its use in building a cutting sword.
